Executive Summary
Built an evidence-backed, recruiter-first professional portfolio presenting 16 verified projects through a structured multi-phase methodology. Applied AI-assisted workflows for evidence extraction, knowledge engineering, career positioning, information architecture, and case study development, all under a zero-budget constraint.
2The Problem
I needed to present 8+ years of professional experience spanning retail, government, agritech, and technology consulting as a coherent narrative for recruiters and hiring managers at technology companies. The existing portfolio did not surface evidence, distinguish project ownership, or present a recruiter-focused scan path.
Convert a broad and heterogeneous professional background into a coherent, evidence-backed portfolio. Design for recruiter scanning (6 seconds) while providing hiring-manager depth. Link every claim to verifiable evidence. Distinguish between team leadership roles and participant roles. Position career trajectory honestly without overclaiming. Operate under a zero-budget constraint.
Operating Constraints
Zero budget for tools or hosting. All work performed solo with AI assistance as the only accelerator. 16 heterogeneous projects spanning 4 industries required a unified presentation framework without flattening their distinct character. Evidence had to be independently catalogued and linked no claims without traceability.
3Objective
- •Convert a broad and heterogeneous professional background into a coherent, evidence-backed portfolio. Design for recruiter scanning (6 seconds) while providing hiring-manager depth. Link every claim to verifiable evidence. Distinguish between team leadership roles and participant roles. Position career trajectory honestly without overclaiming. Operate under a zero-budget constraint.
4My Role & Responsibility
I Owned
- •Treated the portfolio as a structured project with 5 defined phases: Evidence Extraction, Knowledge Engineering (119 entities, 142 relationships), Career Positioning Strategy, Information Architecture (24-part blueprint), and Readiness Audit (53 evidence items catalogued). Used AI as a structured acceleration tool with human review at every stage. Designed 3-tier progressive disclosure for recruiter scan paths. Applied 8-criterion project selection filter for tiering.
I Contributed To
- •Developed the evidence-first architecture and 3-tier progressive disclosure model

5Approach & Method
Treated the portfolio as a structured project with 5 defined phases: Evidence Extraction, Knowledge Engineering (119 entities, 142 relationships), Career Positioning Strategy, Information Architecture (24-part blueprint), and Readiness Audit (53 evidence items catalogued). Used AI as a structured acceleration tool with human review at every stage. Designed 3-tier progressive disclosure for recruiter scan paths. Applied 8-criterion project selection filter for tiering.
Why This Approach
Chose evidence-first architecture over narrative-first because trust is the scarcest commodity in a career-transition portfolio. Every claim had to be independently verifiable. Selected static HTML over CMS because 16 projects are manageable as static files and this removes hosting dependency. Applied honest AI Maturity self-assessment (A3 maximum) to avoid the credibility cost of overclaiming AI capability.
6Evidence & Artifacts
7Outcome & Results
- •Delivered a complete 19-file professional portfolio with dark-mode design. Catalogued 16 verified project case studies using consistent architecture. Built filter-based project discovery system. Implemented 3-tier progressive disclosure. Linked 53 evidence items. Designed auto-scrolling certification carousel. Delivered responsive design across desktop and mobile. Full methodology documentation preserved (Phase 0-5A outputs).
- •The portfolio methodology (5 phases, 119 entities, 53 evidence items) is fully documented and replicable for other professionals transitioning across industries.

8What I Learned
- •Evidence-first architecture is the strongest trust signal in a career-transition portfolio. AI-assisted workflows accelerate but do not replace human judgment; every output required review, correction, and validation. Progressive disclosure (surface → 1 click → deep) is the correct model for recruiter portfolios. Honest self-assessment of AI maturity and career stage builds more credibility than aspirational positioning.
